My husband and I moved to Iowa for his job as a professor at the University of Iowa. Since then, we have fallen in love with the beautiful land and people of Iowa. My undergraduate degrees were completed in Carbondale, Illinois at Southern Illinois University where I earned a BS in Biological Sciences and a BA in Psychology. Prior to PA school, I worked as a medical scribe in the Emergency Department. My PA studies were completed at Lincoln Memorial University in the rural Appalachia region of Tennessee. In my free time, I love hiking, kayaking, long walks in the outdoors, exploring new places, reading, and volunteering.
